Karnataka Shakti Scheme 2023
Fulfilling its election promise, the Congress government in Karnataka has made bus travel free for women on June 11, 2023. Karnataka has also joined the league of Punjab, Tamil Nadu and Delhi in launching a free bus travel scheme for women with an aim to attract women and boost the economy.
Under Karnataka Shakti Scheme, bus travel has been made free for women who are native to Karnataka. The total number of women traveling in Karnataka buses was 5,71,023 on the very first day of the launch of Shakti Scheme. In this scheme, the benefit of free bus travel will be available only within the state of Karnataka. About 42 lakh women will get benefit from this scheme. To take advantage of the scheme, women will have to apply on the Seva Sindhu portal and get a Shakti smart card made.

Karnataka Shakti Scheme 2023 Date
Registrations for this scheme will start from June 11, 2023. The government has given three months time to register and receive the Shakti Smartcard. For three months, all RTCs have been directed to accept any kind of state or central ID card for ticketing. But this is only for the next three months. Within the next three months, all the beneficiaries of the scheme, women availing the benefits of the scheme will have to register on the Seva Sindhu portal to get their Shakti Smartcard.

- To apply in this scheme, visit the website of Seva Sindhu Portal Karnataka.
- Now click on NEW USER and register by entering your Aadhaar number and your mobile number linked with Aadhaar card.
- After registration, go to the login page again and login by entering email or mobile number and OTP.
- Now open the Shakti Scheme Application Form by clicking on the link of Shakti Scheme 2023.
- Now fill all the information asked in the application form and upload all the documents asked.
- After that submit the application form by clicking on the submit option.
- Now your filled Shakti Scheme Application Form 2023 will appear on your screen, after checking all the details correctly take a printout or save it.
- On completion of registration, you will receive an acknowledgment via SMS or email. No fee will be charged for registration under the scheme.
